This single vineyard Shiraz comes from a friend of mine who really cares about the land and sustainability. The vines are over 60 years old and have been passed down through generations. The vintage was cool but sunny, leading to a fruity and structured wine. The Shiraz was fermented with wild yeast and aged for 13 months in old French oak. I call this my back porch wine, just right for sipping and savouring over a good chat with mates.
